Bohren in Holz

Um in Weich- oder Hartholz, Spanplatten, Sperrholz oder MDF-Platten zu bohren, verwendet man am besten einen Holzspiralbohrer. Er hat eine Zentrierspitze mit der man den Bohrer genau ausrichten kann. Durch die Vorschneider am Bohrer reißt das Holz nicht aus.

Bohren in Metall

Um in Eisen, Stahl, Kupfer, Messing oder Aluminium zu bohren, benutzt man am besten einen Metallbohrer. Er besteht meist aus HSS (High Speed Steel) und ist vorne kegelförmig.

Um das Ausglühen der Bohrerspitze (die blaue Verfärbung kann durch das Bohren mit einer zu hohen Drehzahl oder einem zu starken Druck entstehen) zu verhindern, hilft Bohrpaste oder Schneidöl. Eine weitere Möglichkeit ist den Bohrer regelmäßig aus dem Bohrloch nehmen und ihn wieder etwas abkühlen lassen.

Bohren in Stein und Beton

Um in harte Stoffe wie Beton, Naturstein oder Granit zu bohren, eignet sich ein Stein – bzw. Betonbohrer. Er besitzt eine Hartmetallspitze und ist meist aus Werkzeug- oder Karbon-Stahl.

Tipp: Wenn man unter der Markierung fürs Bohrloch eine Plastiktüte anbringt, fällt der Bohrstaub nicht auf den Fußboden.
